History

The hotel was built in 1991 by a complete expensive reconstruction of an old school canteen building. Under the name Hotel TISA, it was operated until 2007, when the owner changed. The new owner created the style of a castle and renamed it Hotel Camelot.

Filmmakers have stayed in the hotel many times, including those who shot The Chronicles of Narnia in Tisa.

In 2014, the hotel changed owners again, the new owner could not manage the hotel and at the end of 2017 he sold it.

 

Since January 2018, the Camelot Hotel in Tisa has a new owner. It is the company Hotel TYSSA s.r.o., which also operates the hotel with the restaurant.

Due to the condition of the building and its accessories and due to unprofessional interventions of the previous owner in recent times, it WAS and IS necessary to do a number of building repairs, including the purchase of new equipment, not only in the hotel and its accommodation. Hotel TYSSA also had to completely re-equip the restaurant kitchen and expand the capacity of restaurant services not only for guests, but also for the general public, mainly tourists, who visit Tisa and its surroundings every year.
